Rick Block: After several years of having a minimal-to-none presence at Bethany Volleyball Camp, I am excited to again lead the player and skills development during volleyball week. To share a bit about me….I grew up in the Waldheim area, playing high school, club and Saskatchewan provincial team in my teen years. I played for two years with Columbia Bible College in BC, and have been involved in coaching various high school and club teams, as well as a very enjoyable 3 year stint as the Men’s Volleyball coach at Bethany. Much of the past decade, I have focused my competitive volleyball to the beach, and in 2004 my partner and I represented Saskatchewan at beach Nationals (yes, it was a learning experience!). Other than volleyball stuff, I work for Heifer International, a food and agriculture development agency, and I certainly enjoy activities and discussion involving soils, tress, gardening, etc. I am married to a wonderful woman named Jacquie, and we have two children – Ezra (3 years) and Hilary (2 months). We look forward to doing BSC (that is, Bethany Sports Camp) with you all! ![]()
